You gotta try these chips! LATE JULY my new favorite thing!

***Disclaimer: I never heard of these until earlier today when I bought my own bag. I dont have ANY sponsors for anything. LOL :-)
CHIPS! Oh how we love them! Potato chips, Doritos, Fritos, Tostitos, and the list goes on and on. We love the crunch and all the goodness that follows, right? BUT WE HATE THE CALORIES AND FAT!

1. ORGANIC - like REAL organic - certified and everything - not just something written on the bag.
2. GLUTEN-FREE: Not an issue for me so much but I know it is for A LOT of people out there.
3. 16 WHOLE GRAINS per serving.
4. 100% WHOLE GRAIN
5. OMEGA 3s
6. NO Synthetic Pesticides or Chemical Fertilizers (My oncologists will be SO thrilled).
7. NO Trans Fats or High Fructose Corn Syrup
8. NO Artificial flavors, colors or Preservatives
9. Peanut Free - If you are allergic, no worries here.

So I decided the only way these would fail would be taste. They couldnt be THIS healthy and still taste awesome. WRONG! OMG - they are so good! Like a a beautiful sunny day Good! THAT good!

They also had Summertime Blues but I didnt grab those. I am definitely going back to grab those tomorrow with any remaining bags of their chips. At $1.99 a bag, it is a super price for all the wonderful goodness contained inside!

So then I Googled them because I always have to know as much about something as I can and it is a WHOLE WORLD of goodness! They have COOKIES and other snacks! Can we hear the angels sing? All I did was stop in to find some gourmet maple syrup and a small bag of chips changed my life. No more guilt - no more icky healthy chips - I seem to have found the answer to my prayers.
The Wonderful World of Late July Organic Snacks! :-)

Gotta Love Old Houses
Gotta Love Old Houses
Normally when I ask for help digging a hole, I would like to be planting a tree or two. Not accessing plumbing and sewer pipes. That raised bed all askew behind my husband used to house some onions. Notice he did not dig up my flowers? He really is a nice guy. I am absolutely positive this is not how he planned to spend mothers day and the day after.
He carefully dug down and only destroyed as much as necessary. His mom even moved all my onions to a new bed! Very sweet. I have a great family and good friends. Doyle replaced the sewer line to the septic system and hopefully fixed the problem. Our home was the old RR Depot that they moved to its current location many years ago using logs and chains. Then they began adding onto it and raising 5 kids. Our home is mishmash to say the least and our fixer upper projects are never small and cheap. They are always big and expensive. The family before us lived here 60+ years and died here. They are wholly responsible for the wonderful soil and good bones of the gardens. I just expand on or remodel what they started.
Ouch, huh? I worked so hard to hand dig out every dandelion last year so as not to have any this year. And guess what? I didnt. But all bets are off now as the soil has once again been disturbed. But I have a working bathroom again. Yep, in a very old house, there is usually only one bathroom as is the case with ours. So having it non-com was really an issue. Doyle put all the sod back in place and hopefully in a few weeks you wont even be able to tell this fun trench was even here at all. One can dream!
