JVAs lovely 15 m² shedworkingesque design for two writers in Oslo (yes, theres a Writers Cottage 1). The whole north-facing façade is made of glass, as is the desk. Its in the back garden of their home and, according to the architects:
"The clients wanted a space that would allow them to isolate themselves to focus on their writing and work, while at the same time offering a generous view over the surroundings. Their intention was that the project would work as an alternative to a cottage in the countryside."--------------------------------------------------------------------

Author John Steinbeck stayed and worked in this one bedroom building in Pacific Grove, California, known as The Writers Studio - he wrote The Sea of Cortez here and it has now been sensitively renovated. You can rent it out on airbnb where it has a five star rating. Tomorrow, well take a look at another of Steinbecks garden offices.
